Cookie policy

Last updated 17 September 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones salon100x.com uses, and how you control them. It was last updated on 17 September 2026. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we use personal data more generally.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so that it can recognise your browser later. Some cookies are set by the site you are visiting (first-party cookies) and some by other companies whose tools the site uses (third-party cookies). Cookies can last for a single visit or for a set period. Similar tools, such as pixels and browser storage, do a comparable job and are covered by this policy too.

Consent, and how to change your mind

When you first visit the site you see a banner that asks whether we may set analytics and marketing cookies. Until you choose, only the strictly necessary cookie is set and the analytics and marketing tools are not loaded. We use Google Consent Mode, so the Google tags on the site respect your choice.

You can change your choices at any time. Use the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of every page to reopen the banner and switch analytics or marketing on or off. Your new choice takes effect straight away for future page views. Cookies already set by a tool you have switched off may remain on your device until they expire or you delete them in your browser.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the site to work and to remember your consent choices. They do not need consent.

  • s100x_consent, set by salon100x.com. Stores your cookie choices and the time you made them. Lasts 180 days.

Analytics

These help us understand which pages are visited and how visitors move through the site, so we can improve it. They are set only after you consent.

  • Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager. Sets _ga and _ga_ followed by a property identifier. They distinguish one visitor from another and keep track of a session. They last up to 2 years. Google's description of its cookies is at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Marketing

These measure whether advertising we run led to a visit or an enquiry, and allow advertising platforms to show relevant adverts. They are set only after you consent.

  • Meta Pixel, set by Meta for Facebook and Instagram advertising. Sets _fbp, which identifies a browser to Meta for measuring advert results. Lasts up to 90 days. Meta's cookie policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policies/cookies.
  • Google Ads conversion cookies, loaded through Google Tag Manager. Record that a visit followed a Google advert, so that we can measure whether the advert led to an enquiry. Their duration is set by Google and described at the Google link above.

Campaign parameters in session storage

When you arrive at the site from a link that carries campaign parameters, such as a link in an advert or an email, we keep the first set of those parameters, and the page you landed on, in your browser's session storage for the length of your visit. If you then send us an enquiry, those parameters are included with it so we know which campaign it came from. Session storage is not a cookie, is cleared when you close the browser tab, and is not shared with advertising platforms.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every modern browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. The settings are usually under Privacy or Security in the browser's preferences, and the browser's help pages explain the steps for the current version. You can block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies from a particular site. If you block the strictly necessary cookie, the banner will appear again on each visit because the site cannot remember your choice. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies has no effect on how the site works for you.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the browser add-on that Google provides, and manage advertising preferences within your Facebook and Google accounts.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a cookie, or change what one is used for, we will update this page and the date at the top, and where the change needs consent we will ask again through the banner.
